Car hits house in Clark County, displaces bricks

A motorist will be charged with failure to control a motor vehicle after she left a Clark County intersection and drove straight into a front yard and hit a house late Thursday afternoon.

The Jeep she was driving pushed in several bricks in the front of the home in the 1900 block of Cheviot Hills Drive.

She was not injured and said she was distracted, according to a trooper with the Ohio Highway Patrol.

The incident was reported to have occurred at about 5:20 p.m.

The homeowner said he saw the vehicle in the intersection at Hilldale Road moments before it began advancing toward his house, which sits across from Hilldale. He was not injured.
