Busted water pipe damages Springfield youth center

A busted pipe led to a watery cleanup Friday at the Oesterlen Services for Youth center.

Ceiling tiles started falling at the facility, 1918 Mechanicsburg Road, sometime in the afternoon after water gushed out of a suspected frozen water pipe.

Springfield fire crews worked to remove water from the floor.

The extent of the damages was not immediately available.

Oesterlen is a mental health treatment center for troubled children and youth.
