Ohio among top states for business climate, magazine says

Staff Report

DAYTON — Site Selection magazine on Monday named Ohio one of the top states in the nation for business climate.

The trade publication says it evaluates each state annually for new and expanded facilities and surveys corporate site selectors for their views on states’ attractiveness to business. The facilities index and survey each make up 50 percent of the final point score and ranking.

Ohio tied for sixth place with Georgia, the magazine said. The top state was North Carolina, followed by Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and South Carolina. Indiana ranked 8th, Kentucky ranked 11th, Michigan ranked 15th, and Pennsylvania ranked 12th.
