Government awards contract for new Springfield Air National Guard facilities

SPRINGFIELD — A Bellefontaine company has been awarded an $11.6 million contract to build a training and administrative complex, warehouse and parking for both at the Springfield Air National Guard Base.

The company, a joint venture called Tamsah Marker LLC, is to complete the project for the state National Guard by Aug. 31, 2012.

The National Guard said it selected Tamsah Marker as the winning bid from among 19 that were submitted.

The Springfield base is home to the 178th Fighter Wing.
