Dayton Air Show announces more attractions for July show

Staff Report

DAYTON — The Air Force’s A-10 Thunderbolt II and C-17 Globemaster III aircraft will each make demonstration flights at the Vectren Dayton Air Show this summer, the show’s management said Thursday.

The air show is scheduled July 23-24 at Dayton International Airport. The Air Force Thunderbirds precision flying team is this year’s featured performer.

The A-10 Thunderbolt, used to provide close air support for ground troops, will come to Dayton from Moody Air Force Base, Ga. The C-17 Globemaster, a transport aircraft, will be flown in from Altus Air Force Base, Okla.

Dayton Air Show tickets are available through the show’s website at www.daytonairshow.com. Starting on June 6, Kroger supermarkets (Kroger Co. is the show’s presenting sponsor) will be selling air show tickets at a $3 discount off adult and children prices, the show’s management said.
