Air Force offers jobs with starting pay of $68,000

Staff Report

FAIRBORN — The Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is hosting a career fair Aug. 27 to discuss job opportunities for mid-career workers in logistics, finance, supply-chain management, engineering, contracting, data management and other positions.

The starting salary for most of those jobs is $68,825 annually, the Air Force said. They are intended for mid-career professionals with advanced degrees and-or specialized work experience, and are not entry-level jobs, the Air Force said.

The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 27 at Wright State University’s Nutter Center, near Wright-Patterson. Those attending are asked to park in lot No. 9.

Positions to be filled provide support to foreign military sales, unmanned aerial vehicles, combat support systems, weapon systems, and modernization and support of existing weapon systems.

Program managers from the Aeronautical Systems Center will be available to provide an overview of programs with jobs that are to be filled, the Air Force said.

Job candidates must be U.S. citizens, will need security clearance and may have to travel.

For more information, contact Jennifer Melton or Tammy Lyons, of the Aeronautical Systems Center, at (937) 255-6464.
