WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — The Air Force awarded contracts worth more than $1 billion to four companies, including one with operations in Riverside, to support the foreign military sales program.

General Dynamics Information Technology Inc., located in Riverside near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, is a subcontractor for a $975 million contract to provide parts and repair support for countries that buy weapons and other equipment from U.S. sources through the foreign military sales program. The customer countries pay the costs of what they buy and the U.S. Defense Department personnel who support the purchases.

S&K Aerospace LLC, of St. Ignatius, Mont., is the prime contractor and Parts Inc., of Stockbridge, Ga., is a subcontractor for the work.

The contract runs through June 15, 2022. The Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson awarded it.

In a separate award, DynCorp International of Falls Church, Va., received a $99.9 million contract to support foreign military sales to the Egyptian military. DynCorp’s assignment is to provide support services for U.S. Defense Department employees, American defense contractors and dependents stationed in Egypt in support of the sales.

The Air Force Security Assistance Center at Wright-Patterson, which manages the Air Force’s foreign military sales program, awarded the contract. It runs through May 31, 2017.
