Barn total loss after fire in Springfield Twp.


A barn was destroyed by a fire in Springfield Twp. this morning.

The fire was reported just after 6 a.m. on private property in the 2000 block of Leffel Lane. Officials said there were a couple ATVs inside the barn, but no animals were hurt or killed in the blaze.

Crews battled the blaze throughout the morning and were still on scene at 9 a.m.

A portion of the barn collapsed as crews battled the blaze., and officials said the barn is a total loss.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
