Arrest made in Clark Co. restaurant break in

An employee and son of the owners of Collier’s Family Restaurant on West First Street was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail on charges related to a break in at the business Thursday.

Daniel Collier, 41, was arrested yesterday at his home and is facing charges of safe-cracking and breaking and entering, according to deputies.

Collier is accused of busting out the back window of the restaurant, 2800 W. First St., and attempting to steal a 500-600 pound safe around 1:40 a.m. Thursday, deputies said.

Deputies identified Collier from surveillance video from inside the restaurant. Additional evidence was collected at Collier’s residence that allegedly tied him to the crime, according to deputies.
