Kamdyn Piland's quiz had the words "absolutely pathetic" written across the top of his paper, WOLF reported. Kamdyn attends Valley View Elementary School, and the notation on the quiz also noted the boy "answered 13 in 3 min! Sad." A drawing of a sad face was next to the note.

"She made me really sad and upset. I was really mad. And (it was) really mean to do," Kamdyn told the television station.

Kamdyn’s father, Christopher Piland, said he contacted the teacher, Alyssa Rupp Bohenek.

"You don't write that on anybody's paper, let alone a little 7-year-old, second-grader's paper," Piland told WOLF.

Piland said he told Bohenek, “I believe what you wrote on his paper was extremely unprofessional and just very rude,” the television station reported.

According to Piland, Bohenek responded with a message "and said she was sorry I felt that way," WOLF.

Piland posted a photograph of the test on Facebook and asked for advice.

petition calling for Bohenek's firing has collected more than 18,400 signatures.

The petition’s creator wrote that Bohenek “is a teacher for the Valley View School District that thinks it's OK to bully and talk down to her students, and needs to be removed.”

petition calling for the teacher to keep her job. has more than 930 signatures.

"What she wrote on the student's paper may have been wrong to do. It is something she should reprimanded for, but certainly not fired over," the petition's creator wrote.

Piland said his son will be moved to a new classroom Tuesday.

Bohenek was not available for comment.

Valley View Superintendent Rose Minniti told WOLF the district is investigating, calling it a personnel issue that will not be dictated by social media.
