St. Paris, Ohio — Funeral arrangements are pending for the four children killed in the tragic mobile-home fire on Saturday, March 21.

On Monday, March 23, authorities were still working to gather information about the fire that claimed the lives of Nathan Skaggs, 2, Patrick Snelling, 8, Breonna Snelling, 10, and Cassandra Karg, 10.

According to information from the Champaign County Auditor's Office, the mobile home was owned by Paris Court Mobile Home Court, Inc. The company's address was listed as U.S. Highway 36 in Piqua, Ohio.

Records from the Champaign Health District show the mobile home park was last inspected in July 2008, and the owner of the property is listed as Les Bowman. He was not available for comment.

The health inspection report showed a handful of minor violations, including an accumulation of trash on a handful of lots. High weeds were observed on one lot and the numbers on one of the homes were missing.

By Monday, area businesses were already busy trying to help those who lost family members during the blaze.

Shirley Ferst, a teller at First Central National Bank in St. Paris, said a fund has been organized to help provide for the Karg and Snelling/Skaggs families. Donors are being asked to specify on the check which family they would like to donate to.

Donations can be sent to First Central National Bank at P.O. Box 730, St. Paris, OH. 43072.
