Bethel Twp., Ohio — Authorities said the death in a driveway of a home on the 1200 block of Burket Avenue appears to be from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, but investigation is ongoing.

Russell A. Hall, 47, of 1212 Burket Ave., was found dead in the driveway of the home late Tuesday night, Dec. 2. Clark County Sheriff Gene Kelly said while detectives are still investigating, it appears Hall shot himself in the head with a handgun after a dispute with his roommate, Darrell B. Bell, 53.

Kelly said Bell's mother owns the home, but Bell was allowing Hall to live there.

According to a report by the Clark County Sheriff's Office, Bell told deputies the two had an argument over rent, and Hall went outside. When Bell went to check on him a short time later, he found Hall lying in the driveway.

Deputies responded to the scene within minutes, but Hall was dead at the scene. Authorities tested both Hall and Bell for gun shot residue, and will send the samples to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification.

Kelly said Bell was cooperative and no charges have been filed in the case.
