Mystery of the honking horn solved by police

DAYTON — May 12: Officers were dispatched to White Allen, 445 N. Main St., about 2:45 a.m. because a vehicle on the lot was honking at passing vehicles.

Officers heard the horn and observed the windows were fogged. A female was inside.

She said she couldn't unlock the door because her hand was stuck in the trunk. Officers opened it and saw that her hand was stuck. She was sounding the horn with her foot, hoping to get help.

She said she was trying to get out of the rain when she climbed in the unlocked trunk. She said her hand was stuck nearly two hours. She was charged with trespassing and taken to a hospital.
