Thieves make off with $4,450 in property and cash

ENGLEWOOD — June 16: A Pauly Drive resident reported unknown subject(s) removed several items from his vehicle and tool box.
The items included two GPS units ($250 each); a cell phone ($450); $200 from the dash; three DVD players ($250 each) on the seats; two radios and their cases ($250 for the pair); a small flat-screen TV from the back porch ($300); and a $2,000 camera.
Mystery of the honking horn solved by police
DAYTON — May 12: Officers were dispatched to White Allen, 445 N. Main St., about 2:45 a.m. because a vehicle on the lot was honking at passing vehicles.
Officers heard the horn and observed the windows were fogged. A female was inside.
She said she couldn't unlock the door because her hand was stuck in the trunk. Officers opened it and saw that her hand was stuck. She was sounding the horn with her foot, hoping to get help.
She said she was trying to get out of the rain when she climbed in the unlocked trunk. She said her hand was stuck nearly two hours. She was charged with trespassing and taken to a hospital.
