Law enforcement officials found Latham at a home in the 700 block of East Pleasant Street Friday morning.
"He was upstairs laying on a mattress, pretending to be asleep," said Hillard.
When officials searched the home, they found two handguns, $954 and a small amount of marijuana, he said.
Springfield police charged Latham with having weapons under disability and he was placed in the Clark County Jail, Hillard said.
Friday's arrest was part of an investigation headed by S/O/F/A/S/T/, or the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team, a multi-jurisdictional task force partnered by the U.S. Marshal's Office, the Springfield Police Division and the Clark County Sheriff's Office.
