Couple born in same hospital celebrate 50th anniversary


They were born in the same maternity ward, just days apart.  They ended up being childhood sweethearts and married a few years later.  They're now celebrating 50 years of marriage.

Stuart and Marlene Hinchcliffe met on the school bus when they were just 14 years old.  Stuart said Marlene was the apple of everyone's eye and that all of the boys competed for a chance to go out with her.   They broke up, but got back a few years later and on Stuart's 21st birthday, the couple got married.  

It wasn't until they were married they realized they were born at the same hospital at nearly the same time.

The couple has two children and four grandchildren.
