Springfield Newspapers, Inc. has established two $2,500 scholarships available to college students who are pursuing a career in the newspaper industry.

The scholarships are funded by James M. Cox, Jr. Foundation Scholarship Program. The primary goal of the scholarship is to assist students in the completion of their education in the many career areas that serve newspapers. These areas include journalism, advertising, marketing, art, accounting, computer services and many other disciplines.
