Champaign County issues

•Champaign County Children Services is seeking a five-year, 1 mill renewal levy to provide services for the care, protection and placement of children who are abused, neglected or dependent.

Others are:

•Goshen Twp. — A five-year, 0.5-mill renewal tax to maintain and operate the Maple Grove Cemetery.

•Jackson Twp. —A five-year, 0.5-mill replacement levy to provide ambulance service.

•Jackson Twp. — A five-year, 1.9-mill replacement levy for general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of roads and bridges.

•Mad River Twp. — A five-year, 1-mill replacement levy to provide fire protection service.

•Urbana Twp. — A five-year 0.2-mill renewal levy to provide and maintain fire apparatus, appliances, buildings, or the payment of firemen or fire fighting companies to operate at the same rate.

•Urbana Twp. — A five-year, 0.8-mill renewal levy to provide and maintain fire apparatus, appliances, buildings, or the payment of firemen or fire fighting companies to operate at the same rate.

•Union Twp. — A zoning amendment for new provisions to authorizing wind turbines as a permitted use in any area zoned for low density residential use, including U-1 rural undeveloped district and R-1 low density residential district.

•Wayne Twp. — A five-year, 1.5 mill renewal levy for the general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of roads.

•Graham Local School District — A five-year, 1.5-mill replacement levy for the permanent improvement of property and the acquisition of transportation equipment.

•Mechanicsburg Exempted Village School District — A five-year, 5.0 mills renewal levy for reconstructing, remolding and renovating existing school buildings.

•Miami East Local School District — A Bond Issue and Tax Levy to pay the local share of school construction under the State of Ohio Classroom Facilities Assistance Program and an annual levy of property taxes be made outside the 10-mill limitation

•Northeastern Local School District — An additional 1-mill tax levy for general permanent improvements.

•Urban City School District — A five-year, 3.5 mill renewal levy for constructing improving, renovating, remodeling, equipping and furnishing school buildings and acquiring real estate.

•West Liberty Local School District — A five-year, 1.5 mill levy for constructing, improving, renovating, remodeling, equipping and furnishing school buildings and acquiring real estate.

•Village of Christiansburg — A five-year, 3.5 mill renewal levy for current operating expenses of the village.

•Village of Christiansburg — A five-year replacement of 3.0 mills of an existing levy and 1.87 mills increase for fire and ambulance protection, maintaining fire apparatus, appliances, buildings and sites and providing ambulance service to the village.

•Village of Woodstock — A five-year, 3.7 mill replacement levy for current expenses.

•The St. Paris Public Library — Aa five-year 0.5 mill additional levy for current operating expenses.

•Northeast Champaign County Fire District — A five-year, 1 mill replacement levy for providing and maintaining fire apparatus, appliances and buildings.
