Two escape after robbing store

Two men robbed John's Carry Out, 41 W. Mulberry St., about 9:20 a.m. Saturday.
One of the men remained outside while the other displayed a gun and demanded money, grabbed cash out of the register and both fled, police said.
Man charged with domestic violence
John Allen Longworth, 35, of 15 W. McCreight Ave., was arrested on charges of vandalism, domestic violence, assault and tampering with evidence.
Police alleged he kicked a woman he knew about 3:30 p.m. Friday at the residence and bit her head, pulling out hair.
When arrested and placed in a cruiser, he kicked out a window and damaged the door, police said.
Police charge man with hitting woman
Michael E. Gibson, 45, of 1010 Olive St. Apt. 2, was arrested on a charge of domestic violence.
He punched a woman he knew and dragged her down the sidewalk about 10:30 p.m. Friday at the residence, police said.
Thieves take furnace, air conditioner
Thefts reported to police and sheriff's deputies included:
• A woman in the 1600 block of Broadway reported a furnace, garage door opener and air conditioner, valued at $1,270, stolen from the home between Oct. 27 and Nov. 5.
• Leslie's Auto Sales, 746 Sherman Ave., reported a 1987 Volkswagen, valued at $2,400, taken from the business between 8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday.
