It happened again, guys. Lady Gaga’s suffered another leak from her upcoming album, ARTPOP, which isn’t suppose to debut until August 19. The track, “The Greatest Thing,” features vocals from fellow entertainment icon Cher, who was livid at the news that the song had found its way online early.“Just heard TGT ! F--K! IT’S NOT EVEN THE RIGHT F------ VERSION!!! WHY DO PPL THINK THIS KINDA LEAKING SHIT IS OK! I’m so Fg DISSAPOINTED [sic],” Cher tweeted earlier this afternoon, bringing to mind the reaction of another entertainment mogul blindsided by the temperamental ways of the internet.
Later in the afternoon, when a Twitter user accused the famous diva of being the source of the leak, you could almost hear Cher finger-snap as she responded back: “MY HAND TO GOD ! I’VE HAD CORRECT VERSION OVER A YR! DO U THINK I WOULD DO THIS TO A FELLOW ARTIST,& 1 I RESPECT AS MUCH AS GAGA??”
As of publishing, Gaga hadn’t said anything publicly about the latest release. When her single “Applause” hit the web earlier this week, she declared a “pop culture emergency” and went ahead and released the song officially. Way to take the high road, Mother Monster! Think we could do the same with “The Greatest Thing”? Because we’re totally in love already!
