Springfield’s John Legend to release latest album

Springfield native John Legend continues his whirlwind year as the release of his album “Darkness and Light” hits shelves and digital stores on Friday.

The multiple-Grammy and Academy Award winner has used social media to publicize the album.

Legend held a Facebook Live Q&A where he performed an acoustic version of “Love Me Now,” the first single off of the album and took questions from his followers on music, parenthood and life.
