Ryan Stevenson to perform at John Legend Theater in Springfield

Ryan Stevenson is making his presence known in the world of contemporary Christian music and will be back in Springfield on Tuesday, Dec. 13.

He has written and co-written several hit songs. Stevenson is currently on tour with the Newsboys and will be touring with TobyMac beginning in January. In between the tours, he’s making a stop here to do a benefit concert on behalf of the Nehemiah Foundation and the nonprofits they represent in Clark County.

Stevenson also serves as worship leader at Vertical Church in Boise, Idaho. Prior to his full-time music career, Stevenson spent seven years as a paramedic. He has performed at Creation West, Fish Fest and Lifest, among other top Christian festivals around the country, and has toured with such artists as Group 1 Crew and Rachael Lampa.

Stevenson will be in concert in Springfield on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 7:30 pm. The concert will be hosted in the Springfield City School District’s John Legend Theater housed at the former South High School, newly renovated and named the Springfield Center of Innovation: The Dome. The old high school auditorium has been transformed into a state-of-the-art performing arts center with contributions from Legend and many other donors.
