John Legend hits Billboard Top 100

Springfield native John Legend has something to sing about again.

The nine-time Grammy Award-winning artist has grabbed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 list with his sultry song “All of Me.”

It is Legend’s first Top 20 hit, according to the website Headline Planet.

Legend performed in Springfield in March as part of a fundraiser at Clark State’s Kuss Auditorium for the Be About It program.

The project supports youth and promotes education in Springfield.

Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen have been in the spotlight a lot in recent months.

She and two other models — Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge — were featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s recent 50th anniversary swimsuit issue.
