MASON — Those who plan to stand in line for the roller coasters at Kings Island this weekend should plan to dress for hot weather, according to the National Weather Service.
Sunday, May 23, will be mostly sunny with a high near 87, according to the NWS.
Sunshine is predicted for most of next week, with highs in the low- to mid-80s, according to the NWS. No rain is predicted after this morning.
Kings Island will officially be open seven days per week. New to the amusement park this year are Planet Snoopy, Boo Blasters on Boo Hill, four new live stage shows and a nighttime light show called Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular.
The new children’s area includes PEANUTS-themed rides and attractions, including four roller coasters. Kids will get a chance to meet characters Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy and Sally.
Live entertainment shows for 2010 include “Way Too Much TV,” “Charlie Brown’s Hoedown,” “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” and “Snoopy Rocks on Ice!”
Kings Island’s water park, Boomerang Bay, officially opens this weekend.
