Getting there wasn’t exactly smooth sailing, though. Teigen kept her Twitter followers abreast of a harrowing situation the previous night when the couple was on another flight to Tokyo. They had to turn around and return to Los Angeles International Airport four hours into the voyage because it was discovered that a passenger had boarded the wrong plane.

“Welcome to Los Angeles,” Legend joked about their “vacation” in a video Teigen posted on her account.

Teigen said in a series of tweets that police and airline officials conducted several interviews with passengers and staff following their landing at the airport and were delayed for several hours before being able to board another flight bound for Tokyo. Although 230 passengers, including themselves, were inconvenienced by the lengthy delay, Teigen and Legend appeared in good spirits — though they did opt to cancel their connecting flight to Nagoya in western Japan.
