I grew up on the Jackson 5 & Michael..my children 22, 20, 18, 16 & 11, no almost all his songs bcuz they've heard them their entire lives. N the 6th grade I was Little Miss Recreation 4 Perrin Woods, preformed @ the Cl Co Fair & sang ABC, tried 2 dance like him..haha..what a memory. R entertainment world has lost the best ever..no 1 can dance/sing like this man. No matter what his personal life has shown us..he's a legend 2 music.

He's met r creator n will answer only 2 HIM..RIP Michael

ummm used to be before he lost his ever loving mind and began a pattern of psychotic plastic surgery, molestation and hanging children off balconies

It's sad that he is gone but I don't see why it is more important than any other celebrity. I listened to him as a teen and yes he was awesome as a singer and performer. The last 20 plus years he has shown a side that I didn't really care for. The allegations that he molested kids is pretty real to me. As I'm sure a lot of junk will come out now that he is dead which would be unnecessary since he's not around to dispute it or his lawyers.

It is very upsetting that Michael Jackson has passed away. I don't necessarily believe that he was a child molester. The way I see it is that there are so many people in this world that will do anything to get money from celebrities, which includes letting there child get hurt in the process. If he was investigated in the 80's for it then why would any parent continue letting there child(ren) spend time with him. I love his music and he will be missed. I hope his children don't get separated.

No, two kids' parents decided to make a fortune off of a musician. The first family made $20 million dollars from the case and decided to drop the criminal case. If a man really had molested YOUR kids, would you have dropped criminal action against them for money? No. He was weird but that doesn't make him a criminal.

Michael was a fellow that was trapped and unable to handle everything.A child molester ,maybe, then again maybe not.Was he mentally disturbed? Probably, but to what degree ?He would have to be considered the king of pop.Now can rest in peace. Yet,there is one truism,Elvis is the one and only king.

How many songs did Elvis write? Yeah, we have higher standards now. We actually expect our musicians to be able to write and possibly even play an instrument, particularly if you're going to call them the "king" of anything.

He was not a role model. He had billions of dollars, fame, power, and the ability to have a positive influence in the world, but he ended up a bizarre drug addict with over $400 million in debt. He showed what money, fame, and power can do to someone--it horribly disfigured him physically, morally, and emotionally. He was selfish man who wasted so much of what was given him. May he finally receive some peace.

You people are disgusting. There are alot of pots on here calling the kettle black. Let the man rest in peace, he was acquitted on ALL molestation charges. Michael Jackson broke barriers far more than you can imagine. You need be grateful to have had an opportunity to grow up in the presence of an ICON. He is not the king of pop he is the KING of MUSIC if you want to get technical. Elvis, and those before/after need to pay homage. Find something better to with your time.

No! No! No! For whatever reasons, he was a disgrace to society. And the way society reacts says something about society, too.

loved Michael Jackson, I will be 50 this fall, so I grew up with him & his music. This was the first person I wanted to marry (I was eleven) I saw the changes and cried for him then & cried when I heard the news of his death, for he was part of my childhood. As for the people who think only the worse...'let ye who is without sin cast the first stone' I for one know not to judge for I have not the right. May he rest in peace.

Rest in peace Farrah, Michael, and Ed. For the idiots that claim Michael was a pedophile and a child molester know that the parents of these children should have been charged with child endangerment if the accusations are true. Also Michael never had the chance to grow up look at his changes over the years. His appearance can attest to how tortured this man's soul was. Michael was one of the greats and he will be missed.

Come on people show some respect. If you were a parent would you allow your child to sleep in the bed with a grown non relative? No unless you were hoping to gain something from it. All of these people took advantage of Michael Jackson. The media and the public were like leeches bleeding him to death. The man was unable to have peace in life hopefully in death he can have the peace that eluded him while living.

Graduated in 84', didn't like the freak then and don't like him now!! Feel sorry for the family but now there is one less pedophile walking around to hurt kids and I don't have to hear about the King of Pop any more. Now we can concentrate on important issues like the economy!!!

Since Michael Jackson was 99% plastic, instead of cremating him, he will be melted down and made into moonwalking action figures so little boys can play with HIM!

I believe the Jackson 5 came to Springfield when they first came out. However ,there was fear that their music would influence the youth here so they werent allowed to perform here. I was on Yellowsprings Street when I saw a limousine go down the street.( You rarely saw a limousine unless it was a funeral when I was young.)A big Afro poked out the window and it was Jermaine Jackson.I just screamed.Other than that the next time I saw the Jackson was in Cleveland in the 80's.

I grew up listening to MJ. I remember having one of those old jukebox stereos in my bedroom that played the album with the strobe light effect. I knew every song of his and the Thriller album was my fav. Those were the days of Ruby Tuesday's, Shady Lady, and Dusty's nightclub. I used to spaz out to his songs on the dance floor. WOW! I cannot believe he is gone! Peace to him and his family and to all those faithful fans out there.

I can't believe the King of Pop is gone! Today is definitely a sad day all over the world. Even if you didn't like Michael Jackson as a person and even if you believed he molested those children, you can't say he wasn't a talented entertainer. It is such a shame that this world is missing someone with talent and it is also a shame what record companies put out today. Michael Jackson was and will always be one of the singers America will be known for.

This was unexpected and sad. I will remember the great entertainer he was and not what he became in later years. May God rest his soul.

Hi, James here. I was a fan of michael jackson. I grew up following the jacksons, the osmans, the pardridges, and other groups. But to me the jacksons were my favorites. I have some music downloads of michael. I still watch his videos on you tube. I will always remember him till the day i die. It seems like a disease, he will never go away. So michael now you are at peace. God Bless the rest of his family, may they be in peace.
