A reddit user screenshot the tweet and posted it to the /facepalm subreddit, where people got worked into a frenzy.

Fans of Chappelle consider this quite the snub. One reddit user even wrote, "To know who Amy Schumer is, and not Dave Chapelle (sic) is a travesty."
Others thought that the NBA played the ultimate prank on its internet trolls.
