1st grade students' writings, drawings of '74 Xenia Tornado
Current Xenia Mayor Marsha Bayless was in her first year of teaching during the 1973-1974 school year. She taught first grade at Tecumseh Elementary School. Upon returning to school after the event of April 3, 1974, her first graders were asked to write about their experiences during the tornado. These writings and illustrations by Marsha Bayless' first grade students detail the events of April 3, 1974 through the eyes of a 6 year old.
