Best and worst drivers in the U.S.: Dayton ranks No. 45

Study ranks top 75 city metro areas, Columbus in the Top 10 worst

With summer travel season now at-hand, QuoteWizard, an online insurance comparison marketplace, has released a study ranking the best and worst driving cities in the nation covering the country’s 75 most populous metropolitan areas.

From worst to best, here are the rankings of all 75 cities, along with the full study: https://quotewizard.com/news/posts/the-best-and-worst-drivers-by-city. Among its findings, QuoteWizard found that the nation’s best drivers are in Detroit, Providence, R.I., and Orlando, while the three worst driving cities are Sacramento, Salt Lake City and Riverside, California.

In addition to providing an indication of how cities rate, the study also addresses some longstanding rivalries, such as: New York vs. Boston; LA vs. Bay Area; Dallas vs. Houston; St. Louis vs. Kansas City.

“If you’ve ever been driving in another city, get cut off on the freeway and think to yourself, ‘Oh, it figures,’ this study may be for you,” said Adam Johnson, QuoteWizard content manager. “QuoteWizard analyzed millions of data points on drivers from throughout the US and what we found provides a pretty interesting and sometimes surprising snapshot of the best and worst drivers in America.”

A quick study of the list reveals that Dayton ranks No. 45, while Columbus is in the Top 10 worst, as it weighs in at number seven.
