WOW air expands in Ohio: What’s really going on?

Air carriers have added dozens of new flights out of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and the Dayton International Airport in the past year.

Cincinnati’s airport just announced that WOW air will add services — bringing discount, international flights to travelers in Southwest Ohio. Here’s what you need to know about Iceland’s low-cost air carrier’s expansion throughout the state:

1. WOW air announced it will add services in Cincinnati.

Service from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky will be available four days a week, the airport announced on Wednesday morning. 2. They’ll fly to destinations across Europe from Cincy.

3. Flights start out of Cincinnati in May 2018.

4. They also announced new services in Cleveland. 

Cincinnati isn’t the only city that WOW air is expanding in. The airline also announced it is adding service in Cleveland, Cincinnati and Detroit. WOW also services cities including: Boston, Chicago O’Hare, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, Pittsburgh, St. Louis and San Francisco. In Canada, WOW flies from Montreal and Toronto.

5. WOW air also expanded in several other markets earlier this year.

For a limited time, Iceland-based air carrier WOW air will offer $69.99 tickets from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and San Francisco International Airport to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Bristol and Edinburgh. Fares went on sale, and flights were offered between Jan. 15 to April 5. The airline is also offering $99 tickets from Miami and Boston to Iceland.
