Skip the stove on Christmas: Restaurants open for the holidays

Between shopping for and wrapping presents, singing carols and putting the last minute touches on the family Christmas tree, the holidays can be just plain exhausting. For those of us who can’t find the time — or the will — to cook a fancy meal for the whole family, however, there is hope thanks to some restaurants in the area who have chosen to keep their doors open for the Christmas holidays.

Here’s a list of what’s open and available over the extended holiday weekend.

  • Bob Evans (Christmas Eve only)
  • Buffalo Wild Wings
  • Denny’s
  • IHOP
  • McDonald’s
  • Panda Express
  • Perkin’s Restaurant and Bakery
  • Starbucks
  • Waffle House

It’s best to call ahead before piling in the car. While these chains will have holiday hours, they will vary by location and may not match normal operational hours. Also, some chains are franchised and individual stores may decide not to open at all for the holiday.
