Manufacturing trade show to draw thousands

More than 3,000 manufacturing industry professionals are expected to attend the region’s annual advanced manufacturing and technology trade show next week at the Dayton Airport Expo Center in Vandalia, according to the Dayton Region Manufacturers Association.

The 2015 Advanced Manufacturing Technology Show on Oct. 21-22 will play host to more than 3,000 manufacturing suppliers, engineers, designers and industry professionals from across Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, officials said.

The free event, presented by the DRMA, will feature 170 exhibitors, as well as 14 educational seminars on such topics as 3-D printing applications and materials; high-velocity milling; financial viability through machine monitoring; and high-power fiber lasers for stamping and fabrication.

“This event gives regional manufacturing professionals the opportunity to enhance their business,” said DRMA President Angelia Erbaugh in a statement.

New this year is the “MFG Mix,” a casual event on Oct. 21 for professionals to network and share their expertise with peers, based on the DRMA’s monthly manufacturing community mixer events.

AMTS will be held at the Airport Expo Center, 3900 McCauley Drive, Vandalia. Admission is free, but registration is required. For more information, visit the website at daytonamts.com.
