Honda to build new car in area

High-end sports car will be produced in Marysville.

Honda will spend $70 million to build its new Acura NSX sports car in Marysville, the company announced today.

The car will be built in the former North American logistics facility, a 184,000 square foot production center.

The company initially plans to move 100 workers from other positions at Honda plants to build the NSX.

Honda first announced the idea of building the sports car in Ohio in January 2012.

The company employs thousands of people from the Miami Valley at its area plants.
