Hot Head Burritos coming to Brown Street

The former Moe’s Southwest Grill at 1113 Brown Street near the University of Dayton will soon become a Hot Head Burritos restaurant, according to “coming-soon” signs posted at the location.

Efforts to reach Hot Head Burrito’s owners Ray and Cynthia Wiley through the weekend and this morning, March 2, were unsuccessful, but a manager for the Hot Head Burritos in Kettering said the Brown Street location is expected to open in about a month.

Hot Head’s menu includes burritos, tacos, nachos and quesdillas.

No, there will be a Chipotle, Hot Head, and an empty Moe’s building since they closed down a month ago.

Sweet Hot Head Burritos Rock! And the food is really good too. Check it out. I can’t wait til they get moved in, since I live near Brown St.

um… no, re read the story, and do so carefully…I refer you to the first sentence.

March 2, 2009 1:40 PM | Link to this

So what are they going to do with the empty Moe’s building? Couldn’t Hot Head have moved in there? No wonder this is the fifth emptiest city in the country. I blame The Greene.

By Sue

March 2, 2009 1:41 PM | Link to this

Hot Head is nothing but a Chipotle wannabe. They don’t stand a chance. The building will be empty again before long.

By Sue

March 2, 2009 1:42 PM | Link to this

Geez…can’t you people read. Hot Head is going into the building that was formerly Moe’s.

What is everyone’s problem? Please re-read the opening paragraph. Hot Head’s is going into the former Moe’s location…

By You're Kidding, Right?

If the ability to read a basic sentence before asking a question is any indication of the Dayton elite, then you have your answer to why it may be the fifth emptiest city. The former Moe’s location is being turned into a Hot Head Burrito…. or… Hot Head Burrito is moving into the old Moe’s location…. or… as the article’s author states: The former Moe’s Southwest Grill at 1113 Brown Street near the University of Dayton will soon become a Hot Head Burritos restaurant, according to “coming-soon” signs posted at the location.

March 2, 2009 1:54 PM | Link to this

I believe its “your kidding” but alot of people get that wrong. Anyway, I tried Hothead the other day and thought it was way to salty. But they must be doing well if their building there own place on Brown St.

By You're Kidding, Right?

March 2, 2009 1:57 PM | Link to this

Try again Echo… You are kidding… I don’t own kidding, and neither do you, which is where “your” would be used. Back to the books, junior.

By Genius

March 2, 2009 2:02 PM | Link to this

It’s a shame to put a Hot Head Burrito right next to an empty Moe’s. You’d think they could just rennovate the old Moe’s into a Hot Head.

By The Echo of Moe

March 2, 2009 2:12 PM | Link to this

As a matter of fact I have a English degree from WSU and thats not Washington St. U, Yo’ure kidding. I don’t see why its about who owns kidding. Your not THAT funny. But try to support the Hot Head even when its to salty. Chipotle is owned by Macdonalds isn’t it? The point anyway is how long Moe’s will sit there attracting a bad element until a new tennet moves in.

By lol

March 2, 2009 2:19 PM | Link to this

Wow. This is like “who’s on first” (or is it whose???). “Your” shows ownership, you’re is a contraction of you are, which is the correct word in this case. And there is no longer an empty building to attract a bad element because Hot Head will open in that building. And by the way, Hot Head is TOO salty, not “to”.

Good stuff- I love Hot Head (I go to the one in Huber sometimes). The lines at Chipotle get kind of long sometimes so this is a winning deal. Of course, if I’m going to Brown St, it’s probably for Dolcessa (YUM!!), but I digress…

Chipotle’s leaving? That’s a shame. Maybe that Hothead place could move into the Chipotle space. It would be perfect for that kind of business! I don’t know who’s going to move into the Moe’s space though. Shame it’s just sitting there!

I think some of ya’ll have had too much salsa or something. Who said anything about Chipotle closing? They are doing great business. Hot Head is moving into where Moe’s was. Unfortunatley, Hot Head’s food is nothing compared to Moe’s which could have remained open if it hadn’t been so poorly managed.

Whew. For a minute there I thought you said more Mexicans are headed for Brown Street. Dayton’s already crawling with illegals and they are all over East Dayton. We certainly don’t need more. Kinda like the last thing Davey Crockett was heard uttering at the Alamo: “Hey look, the gardeners are here!”

Hey echo, it is NOT “your kidding” it is you’re kidding. And it’s way too salty, not way to salty. Jeezus, are you students or dropouts? Can’t today’s youth read and use basic grammar and abide by correct spelling? No wonder we’re so screwed! Unplug the cell phone from it’s constant position glued to your ear, stop texting for a few minutes, read a book, learn something, contribute, and stop being so shallow! Gads, I though Gen-X’rs were vapid!

By The Further Adventures of Echo

March 2, 2009 4:28 PM | Link to this

While attempting to correct already correct grammar and spelling with incorrect grammar and spelling, poor Echo steps in another pile. The farther Echo goes, the deeper the Echo gets: “But they must be doing well if their building there own place on Brown St.” Try “they’re building their own place on Brown St.,” hon.

I am very saddened to learn that Mcdonalds is moving into the formerly closed down Cipopel. Next they’ll close the Red Barn acrost from the bowling christie alley, and Flannigans, and Timothy’s and The Bookstore (best ever UD bar) and the Shed and the Boar’s Head. Gawd, what next? The SubHouse or the Skyline Chili up next to the Pine Club? Or Rikes or the House of Magic! Or the Frisch’s at Brown & Stewart. Nawww. They’ll never close Our Lady of Frisch’s.

Alot of hate here over some buritos. No wonder hothead’s going stong. Everone of you is a hothead. And theres nothing worng with texting - thats how people spell these days. I’m not hitting you up with the “cu L8r” stuff like kids do. But admit that spelling doesn’t matter like it did in the 20th century. Do you guys own computers or are you at the library because thats what you can afford? I at least have a job and not at hothead!!!

Hot Head ought to try putting more than one teaspoon of meat into their entrees. Total rip off. Plus it’s run by some of the biggest rednecks that montgomery county has ever seen. Terrible value, not even close to chipotle. They will close within 8 months.

The only anger I see here is yours, Echo of Moe. Then again, I’d be angry too if I had an English degree from WSU and couldn’t spell or use proper punctuation. “Spelling doesn’t matter?” Yeah, obviously to YOU! What a stupid loser attitude that is for an English degree holder. Hell, you were ripped off. Go demand a refund. LOL!!! Late! P.S. There’s and that’s demand apostrophes, unlike they learnt you at Rite Strait! And honey, we trust your job is NOT as a writer or a teacher. Probably a WAL-MART cashier out by WSU or at a gas station in Riverside or Drexel. Ha ha ha!

I had to work 5-8:30 so I missed alot of this. Frst of all, I get it - Moes’ is where the new place will be. Fine. Its not like the writer made it easy to figure out. Second, the difference between “your” and “you’re” is a spelling diiference. duh! Its got the apostophy and the extra “E”. Hello? Yes I went to a commuter school but even I kjnow that. I’m not angry at all and I AM a gen X thanks. Go Smashing Pumpkins! Didn’t like Nirvana to much but maybe old Kurt Kobain liked a burito now and then?

Kurt shot himself with a burrito gun. So what’s all this about Chipotle selling out to Hothead & combining forces with Moe’s & moving the new combined company into UD’s campus bookstore? Man, I can’t keep all this crap straight! I need an Computer Science degree from Sinclair College of Auto Mechanics. Then we can all drive to UD for a burrito. Comprende?

Sal Monella — You had it going on until you got to “unplug your cell phone from it’s constant position…”. It’s not “it’s”, it’s “its constant position..”. Even though it’s possessive. Don’t ask me why, it just is. Now what’s this about Taco Bell?
