Lunch price continued

In response to a reader’s comment, the food services program is self-sustaining, so any funds brought in go toward paying staff, food costs no reimbursed from the state, supplies, utilities, computers, software, etc.

First, the average cost of SW Ohio lunches for elementary is $2.02, junior high $2.25 and high school $2.28.

Projected revenue for 2009-2010 if prices increased:

Elementary/ECS: 786,154 meals at $1.75 will generate $1,375,769.50 Junior High: 218,896 meals at $2 will generate $437,792 High School: 287,717 meals at $2 will generate $575, 434 Total: 1,292,767 meals for $2,388,995.50.
