Northmont LB Kaleb Ringer commits to Michigan
CLAYTON — Usually the one who delivers the hits, it didn’t take long for Kaleb Ringer to take some whacks after verbally committing to play football at the University of Michigan.
“Of course you’re going to get that stink-eye look,” said Northmont High School’s standout junior linebacker on Tuesday.
“Like, what? You’re going to Michigan? But my parents, family and friends were very supportive. That helps in the process.”
Ringer recently committed to the Wolverines and new coach Brady Hoke. He is the first Dayton-area recruit to be plucked by Hoke, a standout player at Fairmont East in the mid 1970’s, and likely won’t be the last.
