Two women indicited in connection with largest PCP seizure in OSP history

EATON — Two Las Vegas women implicated in the largest PCP seizure in Ohio State Highway Patrol history have been indicted in Preble County on felony charges, the OSP said Tuesday, April 7.

PCP1jpg.jpg10 gallons of liquid PCP seized March 12 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol

The PCP, valued at $3 million, is the first bulk seizure of PCP the patrol has ever taken, said Sgt. Karla Taulbee. Past PCP seizures were smaller amounts that suspects had for personal use, Taulbee said.

Lisandra Pearson, 22, and Dianira Garcia, 24, were both charged with aggravated possession of liquid PCP, a first-degree felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

The two were in a rented 2009 Cadillac Escalade when troopers stopped them on March 12. Pearson was driving the car, which was eastbound on Interstate 70 in Preble County. The car was stopped for a following too closely violation and turn signal violations at 11:57 a.m., the OSP said.

A patrol drug-detecting dog alerted positively to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed a total of 10 individual gallons of liquid PCP hidden in a locked suitcase.

Pearson and Garcia are free on bond. Patrol investigators do not know where the two were traveling to, Taulbee said.

It’s sad that these two young women have ruined their lives being mules for some guy who probably won’t even pay for an attorney. I really hope they roll over for whomever they were transporting for…

Did you ever notice how many drug carrying vehicles are pulled over for things you and I would never be pulled over for. Law enforcement have informants and trump up the traffic violations just to pull them over and check. It’s the same when you are out late at night, they trump up a violation just to run you through the system then let you go. It’s great they got the drugs off the street but I don’t agree with lying just to pull someone over to check them out.

they are gone, and not comming back, and like a couple of you said, why would you let them out on bond when they had that much on them and they are from Vegas. And would’nt that be the last car you would want to drive having that with you duuuhhh that looks silly. What about a neon or something. He got you to take the drugs but couldnt get you a better vehichle that wasnt so flashy. Go figure that one out

kncjr, I agree fully with your trumped up traffic charges. There has become a history of drug arrests along I-70 in preble county as vehicles pass into Ohio. I would like to know where the information is coming from? banks, OSHP, or informants. I feel most likely this would be deemed unlawful search and seizure if we truly learned the source of that information. We, the people, need to get in there and question just how these arrests are happening as I feel it is well known before the vehicle rolls across the state line into Ohio. There are far too many documented cases of large quantity drug arrests by traffic stop in the I-70/Preble County/entering Ohio Area.

Good job OSHP, this is when all the hard work pays off. This is legal, so before all you start whining, it is legal to pull them over for the reasons they did. I think complaining about this is pathetic, thumbs up to getting more drugs off the streets. Especially of this caliber and amount. I do not agree with them being able to post bail, but it happens. These fine individuals put their lives on the line daily, work hard to keep us safe, train and re-train to do a job well done and understand the law better than most of us, and all we can do is complain and accuse them of unlawful acts. Get a clue, this is a heck of a job by the OSHP, good work!
