Howard Stern compares Gabourey Sidibe’s weight to suicide
Days after calling sweet as a cherry pie Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe ‘the most enormous, fat black chick’ he’s ever seen, Howard Stern and his co-host Robin Quivers continued to verbally push the fat kid around the school yard.
On his show Wednesday, March 10, Stern responded to critics of his early statements and compared Sidibe’s obesity to the recent suicide attempt of one of the show’s co-hosts, according to Examiner.com.
“Like, I kind of don’t see a difference between what our Artie did-Artie tried to kill himself. And I feel this girl, in a slower way…she’s gonna kill herself,” Stern reportedly said.
Earlier this week, Stern and Quivers went on and on about how “Precious” would be Sidibe’s only movie because she is too fat ( actually too fat and too black) for Hollywood and its absurd to think she has a shot at a career in the movies.
“Everyone’s pretending she’s a part of show business and she’s never going to be in another movie,” Stern said. “She should have gotten the Best Actress award because she’s never going to have another shot. What movie is she gonna be in?”
Quivers was even tougher, calling Sidibe sick and criticizing Oprah for encouraging Sidibe to continue acting.
“Look in that room, who else do you look like,” Quivers said. “Those are the people who work all of the time.”
Sidibe has already proven the bullying duo wrong.
She’s landed a role in the Showtime series ‘The C Word’ and will star in the movie ‘Yelling to the Sky’ with and her next big-screen appearance will be opposite Zoe Kravitz in the drama
But Quivers and Stern do make a point, most of Hollywood’s actresses are a buck 10. Still there are plenty of plump actors.

Howard stern is a worthless idiot. He had no right to say what he did about that poor girl. Maybe she loves herself and screw anybody that bad mouths her and what they think.

Does Stern attack all the actresses and models who are bulimic and anorexic? I doubt it. Ms. Sidibe is extremely talented. I hope, for her sake and the sake of her fans, that she does what is best for her health under her doctors guidance, but I love her just the way she is.

It’s disgusting how someone can kill themselves in this way. This is what is wrong with America, horrible obesity is encouraged and “accepted”.

Only in America could morbid obesity be considered anything other than a serious health problem and a shame on whoever’s been feeding this young lady. I cannot see it as a cause to celebrate.

Who knows maybe she will be the next Oprah. And to you fat bashers out there, this may not be a case of over eating.

With 30% of the population obese you can see where the backlash is coming from.

She’s Fat, not chubby or plump. She’s a huge beast! That’s the facts. If everyone keeps going around telling her that she’s beautiful she is going to continue on this path and eventually kill herself. I have a young daughter and I would be offended if she looked up to this girl. It’s not a girl vs. guy thing either, he busted up “Hurley” from lost for the first 2 seasons.

Sorry, but she’s FAT. Morbid obesity is a health problem, and it’s even more costly to society than smoking. Obama will put her type (FAT) on a government regulated diet. I rarely agree with Howard Stern, but this time he’s right!

Why does anyone else care? You can say that she is overweight and that someday that will make your insurance premiums increase, but if you drink or take prescription meds, or illegal meds or smoke, then you are going to raise my insurance too. Why do you care if this young woman is overweight?

lol, what’s more amusing is all of these fat people defending being fat as something that should be accepted. It’s no better than anorexic girls yet the fatties should “embrace it”. Disgusting.

I’ll give Howard Stern this one, this young black gal is fat. How do you let yourself get to the point of being as large as she is? She not only has a eating disorder but a mental issue as well to let herself get to where she is.

I’d like to see this young lady become a successful actress. I’d also like to see her lose weight, for the sake of her own health…What some of you who made cruel comments need to bear in mind is that we all have our own demons to deal with—food, alcohol, drugs, smoking, etc. We’d all be well-advised to look in the mirror before we become overly critical or judgmental of others.

Stern’s sidekick Robin is an Uncle Tom. She degrades other African-Americans because she doesn’t feel good about herself. That’s why Stern loves her. She’s a token black person on his show. I have yet to hear Robin make a significant point on the show.

And you listen to Stern? He is ugly and one of the country’s biggest pollutants. Right up there with Rush, Beck, Robertson, Coulter. The woman did a good job in the role she was playing. Who cares if she is fat.

Love the Stern haters, you can tell they don’t actually “listen” to him. He and Robin are actually quite smart and healthy. Robin used to be unhealthy and knows first hand. He always tells it like it is. Sure they bust chops, but mostly in good humor and good intentions. Anyone disagree that she is morbidly obese and headed towards major health problems?? She didn’t gain the weight for the movie… BTW, love the comment that Roboin is an “Uncle Tom”, again clearl someone who doesn’t listen to the show or is way stoopid!

This skinny wimp is going to talk “s—t” about this intelligent woman. All you’ll ever see on his show are silicon-laden moronic bimbos who couldn’t hold up their end of a conversation with this lady. GO GABBY!

People can get mad all they want, but Stern and his sidekick was only observing the way Hollywood is typically and drawing a conclusion from the past. I am not saying racism does not exist, but every time there is something said that people view as negative about someone who isn’t white, does not make it racist. And Hollywood IS racist, so his comments only reflect what we have seen in Hollywood for like the past 50 years. That doesn’t make HIM racist for stating the obvious. Do not say Mo’Nique, or Oprah or any other overweight african american female made it. For every one of them that have made it, 10 white women have made it. These black women are EXCEPTIONS, not the RULE.
