Merry Christmas ?

not counting the days yet

October 6, 2009

Here we go again. The first Christmas books are already coming out. Today was the publication date for “The Christmas List” by Richard Paul Evans. It is already a top 40 seller on Amazon.com.

Evans wrote a little book called “The Christmas Box” a number of years ago. Self-published initially, that book went on to sell millions of copies. It was made into a TV movie. Now every year we get another Christmas book from him. As predictable as guessing that the new guy in each episode of the original Star Trek TV show would not last through the episode.

Can we at least wait until after Halloween?! Humbug.

They are clearly the team of destiny this year. They are all heart, playing for that young rookie pitcher who was killed by a drunk driver early in the season. Nick Adenhart. The Yankees will never know what hit them. The Angels are going all the way. The Red Sox must still be talking to themselves after that whirlwind comeback against their best closer on Sunday. Truly a fabulous story…

Agreed, Vic. I was at the store the other day picking up some Halloween decorations and they were already consolidating those to make room for the Christmas decorations. It’s ridiculous.
