RESCUING SPRITE: A Dog Lover’s Story of Joy and Anguish by Mark R. Levin (Pocket Books).

This book came out yesterday and it is already the #2 bestseller over at Amazon.com.

The Levin family rescued Sprite from an animal shelter. This special hound wasn’t with the family for very long but in their short time together a special bond was formed.

Now we have two dog books to yank our heartstrings this holiday season. Anna Quindlen’s tribute to her black Lab Beau, GOOD DOG. STAY. (Random House) will also be published this month.

They are only with us for a short while. These dogs that come into our lives give us so very much. And they are always happy to see us!
